Things That Need To Be Fixed talk about their upcoming debut album!

Hello, Things That Need to Be Fixed! Thanks for your time! For those who don’t know you yet, would you mind introducing your band to our readers? Hi we are TTNTBF or as our friends call us “Things” from Munich, Germany. We mix pop-punk, metalcore and rap elemens because we like a lot of genres and refuse to play only one style. After the initial positive reception of “Spaceships & Dinosaurs” (2016) in the easycore scene, we hit our first roadblock and nearly disbanded. Replacing more than half our band 2018 was more than a lineup change, it was a reboot. We kind of kept the core influences of pop-punk and started building around that. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and love adding funny or really weird elements in our videos and songs. How would you describe the music scene in Munich? The scene in Munich has improved a lot. It’s gotten more diverse and musicians of different genres start exchanging more which is a total break from 5-10 years ago. There are more featurings happening (we even made two for our next release as well). To support this attitude of “togetherness” we started the playlist “breakout bands” on Spotify. It began as a local playlist and grew to a lot of awesome bands from Europe and the US. Helping each other is what it’s about. Introducing bands we personally like to our friends and other listeners is important for us (while not completely selfless). How do you manage your time between your personal life and the band? Isn’t it hard? Oh yeah, it really is. We try to make time by combining our job skills with our music. Everyone has expertise in a specific area that can be helpful for the band. So we try to use the skills we have at our disposal to the best way possible. Be it film, marketing or pr. We hope to be able to juggle friends & family as well in the future, but it already takes a toll. You released back in December 2018 a music video for “Scars Like These”. How was the shooting experience? It was really really exhausting but so worth it. We worked with our singer’s movie production “Upclose Pictures” and had a say in the concept as well as casting choices. We are very happy with the outcome. It was amazing to combine our music with so many talented dancers of other styles. Never thought Tango or Ballet would go with breakdowns. This song is from your upcoming debut album, “Neverest”. Would you mind introducing this release to our readers? “Neverest” is a fresh start for us. It describes our attitude of not wanting to be at rest anymore while also taking a very steep climb with our goals as a band. The lyrics go from criticizing the mainstream music industry to songs about self-improvement. When can we expect this album to be out? Is there any way we can pre-order it? The release is planned for July 2019. We will try our best to make a pre-order available if people are interested in it. Released as the first single, was “Scars Like These”, according to you, the song that best represents the spirit of this album? It might not be the representative song for the rest of the album but we wanted to take a risk by choosing it as a first single. It’s indeed meant to bring people out of their comfort zones. So while it might alienate some listeners we hope to get the attention of anyone who’s into a lot of genres. We make it clear that one can’t expect the same music when more than half the band has changed by even singing “we’re not the same group we were before”. https://open.spotify.com/album/3Sg0ja3auvegVpApKvef7x The last words are for you. If you have a message to convey, here’s your chance! Our second single “Bad Girl” is coming out April 05th. We would like to invite you to check it out and are happy about feedback! We love to connect with other bands and musicians so hit us up. Thanks for your time!
