‘The song’s lyrics intentionally contradict themselves from the verses to the chorus, to highlight the confusion felt within the narrative,’ the band comments. ‘It moves from suspicion and needing reassurance, to the desire for what you already have to stay the same. It mirrors the complexity of relationships and the feeling of fear of losing someone.
