Patient Sixty-Seven drop new single 'Before You Go'
Perth metalcore act Patient Sixty-Seven have dropped their highly anticipated new single Before You Go. This song stands as the lead track from their newly announced EP Four Walls (to be released March 2), as the band branches out into new territory with the unveiling of their first musical effort since mid-2016.
The track marks the beginning of a new era for the Perth outfit. With Before You Go, the first track to feature vocalist/guitarist Rory Venville as a key component of the bands expanded lineup.
“It’s a relief to get new music out for people to hear,” Kiely says. “We’ve all put a lot into making this release the best it can be. I’m so thankful to have worked with some great people who have helped us push through the tough times. And finish with something I’m incredibly proud of.”
With the band spending the majority of 2017 in the studio recalibrating, recording and refining what has come to be Four Walls, the process has proved as challenging as it’s been defining. “We were definitely at a crossroads a few times early on as a band as to whether this would be something we’d be see finished. But to see how we’ve come together as a group and just put everything we have into it - I really think it shows,” he says.
Before You Go is the first taste of what to expect on the bands newly announced Four Walls EP, with the track and video showcasing the bands newfound intensity. “The song, I guess kind of sums up a really tough time that anyone can be going through, where you’re in a downward spiral of self doubt and pressure,” Kiely says. “The ripple effect that has on your own mental health and the people you care about - where that can often leave you, at rock bottom looking for answers.”
