Lake Folks is an indie folk artist from France. His music varies between delicate guitar and voice folk, to some more Americana-flavoured pieces. You may find through his music accents of Ben Howard, Bob Dylan, Villagers or Mumford and Sons.
Following the release of their single ‘Astronaut’, the band has recently unveiled an EP, titled ‘Someone Else's Dreams’. The latter is available to stream below for those who haven't heard it yet!
As reflected in the EP title - which refers to how he stopped chasing other people’s dreams - this newly found peace and maturity is directly reflected in his music.
This new EP will take you through a voyage between different shades of folk! From a light-hearted and upbeat atmosphere on songs such as ‘Astronaut’ or ‘The Butterflies That Had Flown Away’. To a more delicate and melancholic destination with ‘Someone Else’s Dreams’, whilst even taking detours between rock and bluegrass with ‘Fire’!
